Discover the wonders of the Japanese zodiac! Learn your zodiac animal and create fun Year of the Horse – inspired art with Hoyt staff.
What’s your zodiac animal? Young art enthusiasts are invited to explore the origins of the Japanese zodiac, or Janishi, with The Maridon Musuem! You’ll learn about the animals in 12-year cycle and how they are believed to influence one’s personality and fate. Have fun learning about the upcoming Year of the Horse and end with personalized art-making activity with Hoyt staff.
This event is free, but registration is required. Held in conjunction with the Floating Beauty: Women in the Art of Ukiyo-e now on display at Arts & Education at the Hoyt.
