Exploring Spiritual Practices
Overview
Exploring Spiritual Practices
“Spiritual practices are intentional ways of opening ourselves to the Sacred, of becoming more present to what is deep and true, of allowing grace to shape our living.” – Joyce Rupp
Whether you've been walking with certain spiritual practices for years or you're just beginning to find your way back to what nourishes your soul, this day offers space to explore what is meaningful now.
Through generous time for personal exploration along with shared reflection, we’ll engage in a variety of spiritual practices -some practices may feel familiar and in need of renewal; others might offer new doorways for nourishing your soul. You’ll be invited to listen gently to what is stirring in you and honor what draws your attention.
Weather permitting, the Clare Garden will be available for use. Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
There will be a mid-day break for lunch. Please bring your own sack lunch and water bottle.
All other materials are provided.
Karen Bychowski is a spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and nonprofit founder who accompanies others in exploring what matters most in life. Whether through Individual Spiritual Direction (offered in-person and virtually), Personal Retreat Days, or group programs, Karen offers gentle, grounded guidance for those seeking to reconnect with purpose, navigate change, or deepen their spiritual life.
She regularly facilitates offerings through the Tau Center with programs rooted in spaciousness, reflection, and honoring each person's lived experience.
Before this work, Karen spent nearly two decades traveling extensively across the U.S. and internationally as a change consultant with a Global Fortune 100 company. Following a time of discernment, she responded to a deeper call, shifting her focus to the inner life and how we show up in the world.
Karen is a graduate of the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
In 2017, she founded To Africa with Love, a nonprofit dedicated to connection and compassion in Kenya. Its flagship initiative, Pads with a Purpose, empowers girls and young women through vision board workshops and discussing circles—reaching more than 7,000 youth in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
Karen brings to her ministry a deep spirit presence - helping others listen for the sacred in everyday life.
