Overview

This is the second of two online sessions to introduce the Local Learning Partnerships model and support readiness to adopt this model.

Who should attend?

This session is open to anyone with an interest in social work education - including colleagues from universities, local authorities, and the third sector. Whether you're new to partnership working or already involved, this session offers a space to connect, reflect, share learning and ideasand explore opportunities together.

About the session:

Local Learning Partnerships (LLPs) are locally-led collaborations between social work employers and education providers. They aim to improve access to high-quality learning and development for students and qualified social workers, and to strengthen the connection between education and practice.

This session will introduce the LLP model and support attendees to reflect on their local readiness. We’ll explore the five core components of the model, share a practical self-evaluation tool, and discuss how a test-and-learn approach can help areas build on existing strengths. The same information will be provided in this session as in the first session on November 27th.

What we’ll cover:

During the session, we’ll explore the following topics:

● The purpose and structure of LLPs

● The five core components of the model

● How to use the Readiness Self-evaluation Tool

●A strengths-based approachto explore and test ideas

● Group discussion on local readiness, opportunities, and support needs

● Next steps and available support
