Exploring Percussion Textures and Recording Workshop at LAPR

Abby Savell, owner of LA Percussion Rentals and Board Member of the ASA, will be leading a rare percussion recording workshop on October 25th, 2025!

This event promises to be a valuable experience for pro composers who are looking to further their voice in percussion. At the workshop, we will be using more familiar instruments in new and creative ways. We’ll be exploring a variety of world and eclectic instruments as well. You’ll have some more immersive, hands-on experience, and we’ll do some recording. Lunch will be provided as well!

The illustrious LA Percussion is the home of a vast collection of instruments as heard on Avatar, Moana, Back to the Future, Lethal Weapon, Batman, Star Trek, Sting, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, and much more. Join us for a unique experience hosted by LA Perc, percussion ambassadors right here in LA and known across the globe!
