Exploring Materials: Mark-Making in Nature!
Overview
(2 PDPs) Discover how simple marks can spark big creativity! In this outdoor workshop, we’ll explore the power of mark-making as a tool for self-expression, motor skill development, and creative exploration in children. Surrounded by nature, participants will engage in drawing activities, demonstrations, and playful games using a wide variety of accessible materials. No experience necessary—just a curiosity for the creative process and the natural world! (2 PDPs)
Certificate of completion hours for teachers and early educators are available for both professional development and workshop offerings at The Carle.
A limited number of workshop spots are free for preschool teachers and elementary teachers in Title 1 Schools through The Carle Community Fund. Scholarships are awarded at random and offered on a quarterly basis. Application deadline is April 1.
We work to provide accessible programming. If you need accommodation to participate in this program, please contact Natalie at programs@carlemuseum.org. We ask that requests are sent at least five business days in advance of the program so we can make arrangements. Thank you!
