ABOUT YOUR PRESENTER

Susan Stutzman is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Illinois, a registered play therapist-supervisor, and an early childhood development educator. She is the co-founder of Play Therapy Toolbox, a live and online resource providing play therapy training for professionals.

Susan is also the owner of Kid Matters Counseling in Hinsdale, IL where they have helped hundreds of kids and parents resolve emotional conflict, cultivate healing, and nurture hope. Susan regularly contributes to Parent Matters, a newsletter and podcast resource for parents provided by Kid Matters Counseling.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Demonstrate through interactive learning 1 intervention related to how to set boundaries with parents during play therapy sessions.

2. Apply 1 intervention to repair with the client if parents violate the boundaries of a play therapy session.

3. Discuss and plan for 3 interventions during play therapy sessions in the working phase of treatment.


**Continuing Education Credits:**

This course meets the requirements for 3 contact CE credits under the Association for Play Therapy category "Skills & Methods".

CE is awarded for Masters Level mental health students or professionals specific to play therapy.

Credits are offered and awarded to participants who attend the event in its entirety and complete and submit a post-test.

Play Therapy Toolbox offers continuing education specific to play therapy. APT Approved Provider 18-533 maintains responsibility for the program.

Play Therapy Toolbox has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7752. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Play Therapy Toolbox is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for event registration?

A full refund (minus credit card fees) will be made up to 7 days before the training. Cancellations received less than 7 days before the training are non-refundable.

What time does registration starts?

Registration starts at 8:45 AM until 9:00 AM.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch will be on your own. Please feel free to bring a bag lunch and eat in the cafe/lunch room adjacent to the training room. Whole Foods, Starbucks, Jimmy Johns, and McDonald's are all less than a mile each from the training location in the event you would like to grab lunch on break.

Will coffee be provided?

Coffee, water, and a small snack will be provided during this training.
