About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Description

In this truly experiential training, therapists will learn a practical set of ACT+ERP exercises designed to build psychological flexibility, increase willingness, and reduce avoidance in clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, trauma, or existential distress. Exercises will be taught, demonstrated, and practiced in dyads or small groups, with clinical framing for real-world application. Participants will leave with a ready-to-use toolkit for sessions that supports both exposure and values-based action.

Note: this is primarily an interactive workshop (we have to experience the experientials!) , so we ask that participants come ready to be engaged with their cameras on. All participants will get a recording of the workshop and a PDF list of exercises.

Objectives

  • Describe the function of experiential exercises within an ACT + ERP framework
  • Use at least three ACT-based experiential exercises in a clinical setting
  • Compose at least three types of exposures that target avoidance and build willingness
  • Identify appropriate client presentations for using specific exercises in session

Frequently asked questions

Will participants receive a recording of the webinar?

Yes! If you can't attend live, have no fear. I'll send a recording + supporting resources after the live webinar. That being said - this is an *experiential* workshop, so you'll only get the full benefit if you attend live and practice the tools with other therapists.

Who is eligible for CEUs?

I am an approved provider through the Association for Social Work Boards (ASWB), which allows social workers from all US states except NY to receive CEU credits. NY-based social workers, please note: our state is the only one that doesn't accept ASWB CEUs :) but you can still buy a GA ticket.

What if I want to attend but can't afford the event?
