Description

USC students are invited to attend the world premiere production of नेहा & Neel, the third collaboration between Asian American theatre collective Artists at Play and the Latino Theater Company, which has been amplifying diverse voices for 40 years.

In the comedy written by Ankita Raturi and directed by Lily Tung Crystal, Neha (नेहा) fears she has failed to pass down her language and culture to her 17-year-old son, Neel (नील). A summer trip to visit colleges could be Neha’s last chance, if only she can get Neel to visit the historic Hope Diamond and witness a piece of Indian history for himself. नेहा & Neel asks what we lose with every generation in America, and if it’s ever too late to connect with your roots.

After the performance, students will join a conversation and Q&A with members of the artistic team.
