About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Get activated and inspired by the work of Northern California artists: come out to the opening reception for Object [Im]Permanence on Thursday June 12, 6:30-8:30pm!

The David Brower Center proudly presents our 2025 local exhibition, Object [Im]Permanence, featuring five jury-selected artists challenging structural norms of disposability and their impact on the planet: Irman Arcibal, Rachel Leibman, Amy Yoshitsu, Tara K Daly, and Monique Sonoquie.

In Object [Im]Permanence, many of the pieces incorporate found non-biodegradable materials that would otherwise have been cast aside. Through this process, the artists reclaim objects that would have polluted the land and oceans and imbue them with new meaning and value.
