About your host - Marvie Corbett, MSW, LCSW-C, CCTP
Marvie is Director of Psychotherapy and our Director of Educational Advocacy with Rebecca Resnik and Associates Psychological Care. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland with over 15 years of experince in the field.
Marvie specializes in helping individuals, couples, and families learn to understand their unique and hidden strengths, even those that sometimes present as barriers. Marvie works with clients to utilize these strengths to develop new skills and behaviors that help them to feel more empowered, to increase self-worth, to improve intrinsic motivation, and to feel healthy control over thoughts and feelings. Marvie has experience working in a variety of settings including: psychiatric inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, community based centers, schools, and private practice.
Marvie has also recently published her first children’s book in her new series called “The Super Powers Handbook: Unleashing Extraordinary Abilities”. This first installment explores the intersection between ADHD and Anxiety in children. Find it here!
