Overview

conversations + movement workshop

mounts, cases, and display structures are quiet architectures of support — they hold, frame, and orient how we encounter artworks in time and space.

in this evening program, eric araujo will share his mount-making practice, revealing how mounts physically support and safeguard objects while negotiating visibility and presence. hiroko ishikawa and mack cole-edelsack will discuss the support structures they designed for time-based media and performance, reflecting on how video, sound, and performance are housed, held, and made visible within museum contexts.

the evening concludes with a movement workshop led by ella dawn w-s, who will translate the idea of mounts into the body — inviting guests to explore how we hold, balance, and support ourselves and one another through movement.
