About this event

Music • Alternative

Join ESO and Music Director William Eckfeld for an exciting fall performance. One of the highlights of the evening will be Richard Strauss’s exuberant tone poem “Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks.” This whimsical piece brings to life the mischievous legend of Till Eulenspiegel, a notorious trickster from German folklore. Sibelius' Andante festivo (with WPHS string students) is built on a single, noble theme that slowly blossoms, passed from voice to voice in the strings. Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, "Pastorale," is a profound expression of the human spirit in harmony with the earth.
