About this event
On Tuesday, May 11 we will celebrate the wonderful artists who collaborated with small business owners to create site-specific installations in their store-front windows as part of ArtSpan's initiative to use art as a vehicle for community engagement and to increase patronage to these businesses re-emerging from COVID shutdowns.
Join us with a beverage and come ready to enjoy artful presentations from four local Excelsior artists, plus live music from NowAndFormerly!

ArtSpan’s Excelsior Art Initiative (EAI) program celebrates rich cultures, supports small businesses and local artists, and spotlights the vibrant creativity of one of San Francisco’s most diverse neighborhoods. Using art as a vehicle for community engagement, EAI partners local artists and small businesses to creatively augment venues re-emerging from stay-at-home order and poised to welcome the public.
Artists collaborated with business owners to create custom installations highlighting their venue and the frenetic energy of the community. The innovative installations adorn the windows, streets, and sidewalks for Shared Spaces participants, beautifully designed objects, and more.
This program is sponsored by: Grants for the Arts, San Francisco Arts Commission, CA Arts Council, Invest In Neighborhoods within the Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
