How strenuous is the tour?

There are multiple sets of stairs to be climbed at each of the three telescopes; elevators are not always available. Guests should be able to physically ascend and descend stairs as well as get in and out of the transport van multiple times and stand for periods of time.

Do you allow service animals on the tours?

Accepted Answer

No. Due to accessibility concerns and transportation limitations, we are unable to accommodate service animals at this time.

Will there be dates added to the list in Eventbrite?

Accepted Answer

No. Special group tours -minimum of 10 guests- can be arranged through EAC Discovery Park Director Paul Anger on a limited basis and with enough advanced notice. (not guaranteed)

Question 4

Can I book a tour through another company?

Accepted Answer

No. EAC Discovery Park has exclusive permissions from MGIO to conduct tours.

Question 5

Do you offer night tours?

Accepted Answer

No. The MGIO telescopes are primarily research facilities limiting tours to daytime hours.

Question 6

Do you have a waitlist for cancellations?

Accepted Answer

No. Cancellations will reappear on the MGIO Eventbrite page as available seats. Check back regularly for your preferred dates.

Question 7

If tickets have sold out, can I drive myself up to the telescopes and look around?

Accepted Answer

No. Because of security concerns, the access road is gated, and only authorized entities are permitted through.

Is there a Gift Shop?

NOT YET! We are working to add a small gift shop to our office area and will post updates in the about section when we have them!
