This event is an introduction to evidence-based policing for frontline police officers and staff from across the East Midlands. We will introduce the key features of evidence-based policing and how it can help police to provide the best possible service to local communities. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with colleagues from other forces along with experts from local universities. We will also show you how to get started using an evidence-based approach in your own area and what support is available to you.

A hot lunch and drinks will be provided.

    What will the event include?

Our speakers include serving officers from local forces who use evidence-based approaches in policing and university researchers who work to find out what works to solve different policing problems. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get involved.

Is this one event over two days, or the same event run twice?

To make sure that as many front-line officers as possible can attend this event, we are running the same sessions twice, on two separate days. Please book for whichever date is most convenient for you.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

If you are travelling by train then from Nottingham Railway Station take any northbound tram (destination Hucknall, Phoenix Park or Shipstone Street) to Nottingham Trent University.

If you are travelling by car then the park and ride sites at Clifton South, The Forest, Hucknall, Moor Bridge, Phoenix Park, Toton Lane and Wilkinson Street are all linked to NTU by direct trams. There are also car parks a short walk from NTU.
