Part 1: Ready to Show the True Impact of Your Program?
Evaluation doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. This first session of our hands-on, beginner-friendly training series will take the mystery out of program evaluation and help you see it as a practical tool for improvement, funding, and impact. Whether you’re working in mentoring, prevention, or youth-serving organizations, you’ll begin building the foundation for measuring what matters and telling your program’s story with confidence.
Learning Objectives for Part 1
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
Identify common concerns and misconceptions about program evaluation and apply strategies to overcome resistance.
Differentiate between performance accountability, continuous quality improvement, and program evaluation, and explain how each supports program effectiveness.
Recognize and apply key ethical principles in program evaluation, including confidentiality, informed consent, and responsible data use.
Analyze the data you already collect during program implementation to determine how it can be used for evaluation.
Construct a basic logic model that outlines and connects the key elements of your program to outcomes.
This training is sponsored by The Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services.
Each training is eligible for 1 CEU through the Connecticut Certification Board. If you attend all three trainings, you will receive 3 CEUs.
