Join us for our upcoming interactive session on Misinformation & Deepfakes, part of the Ethics & AI: Scotland project led by the Global Shapers Edinburgh Hub of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
How do we know what’s real in the age of AI? Tools like ChatGPT, image generators, and voice cloning have opened exciting possibilities but also new risks. Deepfakes and AI-driven misinformation are blurring the lines between fact and fiction, shaping public trust, and influencing everything from politics to everyday life.
In this 1-hour interactive session, hosted by the Global Shapers Edinburgh Hub, a World Economic Forum initiative, young leaders will explore:
- What deepfakes are and how they’re created
- Real-world examples and their impact on society
- How to spot manipulated media and respond critically
- The ethical questions AI raises for our future
📅 Date: Wednesday, 15 October 2025
🕖 Time: 7:00–8:00pm (BST)
