*"Establishing Worth and Value: Unraveling Your Financial Trauma Narrative for More Effective Treatment Outcomes"
Dr. Marcia-Elizabeth Thompson, DACM
This revealing, interactive 2-hour workshop unravels the entanglements of the developmental trauma narrative as it relates to fee and boundary setting for the practitioner as revealed through financial record keeping and the business plan.
Working primarily with Michael Sebaugh’s dissertation “The Vulnerable Self of the Adult Child of the Alcoholic” and Viktor Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning,” participants will be guided through a practice of writing and visualization exercises; the creation of a personal spending plan; and the drafting and sharing of their vision for their business.
Participants will then have an opportunity to be gently witnessed in the reading of their business vision and receive constructive, guided feedback from attendees. Feedback is designed to support attendees in cultivating greater clarity and confidence with regard to their personalized business and prosperity visions. The group dynamic cultivates confidence and expansive thinking as attendees develop more of a capacity to embrace and expand their business vision with a direct eye toward unraveling any personal narrative(s) of developmental trauma
.
After attending this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Learn how to use a spending record to decipher their unconscious money narratives that keep them small and stuck professionally and financially.
- Reveal the subconscious drivers of their relationship to earning, prosperity, workaholism, and underearning through the use of The Grief Recovery Method’s Loss History Graph, Michael Seabaugh’s dissertation “The Vulnerable Self of the Adult Child of the Alcoholic,” and Viktor Frankl’s treatise on logotherapy.
- Develop a new relationship to their business plan that incorporates their most fundamental needs as integral to practice growth and success. Participants will be able to clearly articulate their business vision and chart a course toward its successful realization.
