Do I need to have yoga experience to attend?

Not at all! This class is beginner-friendly and designed for women who may be brand new to yoga or just returning to their mats. You’ll be guided gently and supported every step of the way.

What should I bring?

Bring a yoga mat (we have a few extras if you don’t have one), a water bottle, and anything that helps you feel grounded—like a small towel, cushion, or journal for the sister circle.

Question 3

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely—think leggings, sweats, or anything soft and breathable.

Question 4

What is Ashtanga yoga and will it be too hard for me?

This is about honoring your body, not pushing it.
Ashtanga is a dynamic, breath-based yoga practice. In this class, we approach the traditional Ashtanga sequence in a way that’s accessible and supportive, specifically for women new to yoga.

Is the class only for women of color?

Accepted Answer

This space is centered on the healing and well-being of women of color. If that’s you, you’re in the right place. We hold this space with intention, love, and cultural grounding. That said, all are welcome.

Question 6

Do I have to stay for the sister circle afterward?

Accepted Answer

Nope! The 30-minute sister circle is completely optional—but it’s a beautiful way to decompress, reflect, and connect with other women in community.

Question 7

Can I come late or leave early?

Accepted Answer

To honor the space and the other women attending, we ask that you arrive on time and stay for the full yoga + meditation portion. You're welcome to leave before the sister circle if needed.

Is there parking at the studio?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is free parking in the front of the building.
