Prof. Armando Fox from the University of California at Berkeley (http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~fox) will give this 4-hour tutorial covering the major aspects of the development of modern Software as a Service applications in the cloud. The tutorial will cover not only the fundamental concepts of Agile development of SaaS for the Cloud but also some of the most productive tools for engineering software in this context, including Ruby on Rails, Rspec, Cucumber, and rich clients with Javascript.
Registration includes a signed copy of the book "Construindo Software como Serviço - Uma Abordagem Ágil Usando Computação em Nuvem"(http://br.saasbook.info), which will be handed out at the beginning of the tutorial.
