Hello... My name is Julia Gabriel! My passion is the well-being of horses, and my hope is that by connecting with Equestrians, together we can make the world a better place for our equine partners.
After more than a decade of working through dangerous situations with horses troubled by physical & behavioral challenges, I discovered how to reach them safely and effectively with Equine Somatic Release. What often appears to be defiance, I found to actually be a protective reflex—a “lock” in the spine triggered by the pressure created when a horse is struggling to perform a task, whether the horse is evading or attempting to comply. This bracing disrupts movement, affects the nervous system, and eventually can show up as resistance, lameness, or unpredictable behavior.
