Join us for a fun-filled evening exploring environmental stewardship with the DGC Sprouts youth club.

Learn how you can become more environmentally aware and a good steward of nature! Follow the messages of Smokey the Bear and Woodsy the Owl and design your own poster for the National Garden Club Inc annual Poster Contest! We will provide paper and craft materials to get you started, and you can finish on your own at home. Everyone who participates will receive a certificate! (Students in grades 1 through 5 are eligible to create a poster 11x17 in. All posters must feature Smokey Bear or Woodsy Owl and must not feature both together.)

Feel free to bring recyclable materials to create your own recycled material sculptures for the National Garden Club Inc annual Sculpture Contest! We will have some materials to get you started, as well as hot glue (with parental supervision) and other basic supplies. (Students in grades 4 through 8 are eligible to create a sculpture of recyclable, reused, and reduced materials. The sculpture is limited in width to 81/2 inches by 11 inches.)

Parents/Caregivers - please be sure to complete an entry form for each child at the meeting so we can submit to the contest once each piece is complete!

This event is perfect for all families interested in nature.

NOTES:

All are welcome to attend.

A responsible adult must accompany children.

Please register for one ticket/family participating.
