Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church in Houston invites you to a monthly environmental education web meeting series whose theme in 2025 is Environmental Issues & What You Can Do.

What is integral ecology, and how can we put it into practice? Join Sr. Damien Marie Savino as she addresses these questions, focusing on the notion of integral ecology introduced by Pope Francis in his environmental encyclical, Laudato Si’ and explored in her new book Learning the Language of Creation, to be released in January 2026. Her lecture will include comments upon practices such as regenerative agriculture and nature-based solutions, in recognition that healing of ecosystems and of human communities goes hand in hand. This program will be recorded and the recording distributed to all registrants. Time for interactive Q&A with the speaker will be provided. Contact Lisa Brenskelle at gcs.lrc@gmail.com with any questions.
