Rethinking Power: From CMU Startup to the New York Stock Exchange

Thomas Healy, Founder and CEO of Hyliion (NYSE: HYLN) and member of Carnegie Mellon University’s Board of Trustees, shares his journey from launching a startup as a CMU mechanical engineering graduate student to leading a publicly traded energy technology company. He’ll reflect on how the university’s environment fostered the foundation for entrepreneurship, the lessons learned from building a company in his 20s, and the pivotal moments that defined Hyliion’ s path. The discussion will also explore how Hyliion is reimagining power generation—reviving a 200-year-old concept through advances in 3D printing—and how this innovation is poised to meet the world’s rapidly growing electricity needs driven by AI and data centers.

Space is limited. RSVP is required.

Lunch will be provided.
