Event Details

Let's flip the narrative from impoverishment to enrichment. Over the last 50 years we've poured significant resources into fixing poverty. What are the results? The model doesn't work. What if we identified the elements in impoverished communities that are sustaining people and provided resources to strengthen and expand what's actually working? What if we recognized the idle assets now present and deployed them?

The symposium/community conversation begins a dialogue process among scholars, community leaders, and community members about in/equity, resiliency, and asset-based approaches to developing even stronger communities in Tampa Bay.
