Enhancing Video Accessibility with MediaPlus and Audio Description
Make your video content more inclusive with MediaPlus, ASU’s media streaming platform, and learn how to meet accessibility standards using audio and visual enhancements. In this workshop, you’ll explore how MediaPlus simplifies accessibility through automatic captioning and transcript generation, and how to go a step further by adding audio descriptions to support learners who are blind or visually impaired.
We’ll demystify the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) by focusing on two key areas:
- Providing captions and transcripts for users with hearing impairments.
- Creating audio descriptions to communicate essential visual information.
Whether you're producing instructional videos, course announcements, or multimedia assignments, this workshop will help you meet accessibility requirements and support all learners equitably.
