"What are the career options after a computer science degree or without a degree? How to get into those big big big tech companies? What's good/bad about them?" are the questions we need answers. Let's spend a night put this in our discussion space, and let's talk about this.

One week after the "Hello World at GitHub!" , we are glad to have Rowena, an implementation engineer at GitHub based in Chicago, joining us for another night!

• Practical tips of nailing interviews and how GitHub does their interview (I heard that are 10 interviews over 3 months *sweat drops*)
• What are the tech career options out there?
• How to choose the one fits you the most?
• How to build your googleablity, visibility, and make employer easier to hire you?

About who you will meet

Rowena is a Malaysian actually. She has been working overseas for years and she is passionate to contribute back to Malaysia local developer communities, that's how all this started :)

Rowena Foo is an Implementation Engineer at GitHub. She came from a consulting background in the Natural Language Generation field and enjoys working with customers to optimize their workflow. She's based in Chicago. In her spare time, she enjoys making sure her plants don't die and playing in social leagues, such as softball and wiffleball. (LinkedIn)

The App Club is a student developers community built around the idea of autonomy in choosing what we wanna learn. It's education centric. We bring experts from outside to teach us the things we can't learn in our CS syllabus, both technical and entrepreneurial. We are based in University of Malaya. (Facebook)
