Energy in Motion: Qigong & Taiji for Health, Balance, and Inner StrengthStart your journey into the healing and martial arts traditions of China with this rejuvenating and empowering class. This course will meet on Wednesdays for 8 weeks, starting on October 1 and ending on November 19th. Each session begins with Qigong, a gentle practice that cultivates internal energy through coordinated breathing, slow movement, and focused awareness. Ideal for beginners, Qigong promotes better posture, flexibility, balance, and mental clarity—while providing a noticeable boost in vitality.
As the class progresses, you’ll transition into Taiji (Tai Chi), a flowing, low-impact form of exercise known worldwide for its powerful health benefits. Rooted in martial arts, Taiji develops internal strength, breath control, and calm focus through mindful movement and meditative stances. You’ll explore both public and private forms of Yang Family Taiji, as well as Tuishou (Push Hands)—a partner practice that teaches yielding, neutralizing, and redirecting energy.
Whether you're here for wellness, stress relief, or an introduction to the deeper art of self-cultivation, this class offers a holistic path to balance, strength, and inner peace.
