Endea Owens, Emmy- and Grammy-winning bassist and Colbert band member, is a Juilliard grad blending jazz, activism and feel-good music.

Endea Owens is a Detroit-raised bassist, composer, and recording artist celebrated as one of jazz’s most dynamic emerging voices. A Juilliard graduate and member of the house band for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she’s performed with legends like Wynton Marsalis, Diana Ross, and Jon Batiste, earning an Emmy, Grammy, and Peabody Award. Her work spans acclaimed albums, film scores, and major performances, while her nonprofit, The Community Cookout, has provided meals and music to thousands globally. Endea also curates and composes for leading arts institutions, with her debut album Feel Good Music recently released.
