Empty Bowls, presented by Saluda Outfitters, is hosted at The Barn at Parker-Binns Vineyard. We partner with local professional potters - Susan McDade, Dee Lassiter, Roe Sprouls, Doug Dacey, Meghan Bernard, Ann Gleason, Austin Burns and Tryon Arts & Crafts School to create glaze, and fire hundreds of handcrafted bowls that will be given to each Empty Bowls ticketholder. Seven local restaurants, Southside Smokehouse & Grille, Green River Plantation, Iron Key Brewing Company and others will be providing soups to sample while local bakeries will offer fresh artisan breads. We will have live music performed by the Clover Pickers.
We express our gratitude to our generous event sponsors and their support of Outreach and for making the event possible: Saluda Outfitters, Ashworth Financial Group, Back Alley Boutique & Bud Bar, Columbus Service Center, First Baptist Church of Tryon, Artistry Above, HomeTrust Bank, Isabell Builders LLC, Mainstreet Insurance Group, Mountain Sky Builders, Parker-Binns Vineyard, Park Crossing Apartments, Sean T Gaul INC, SkyTop Cabinets, WWE Realty, Tryon Arts & Crafts School, Cindy Viehman at Tryon Foothills Realty and Woodmen Life.
Empty Bowls fundraisers have been held internationally for over 30 years as a grass roots effort to help fight hunger. To be an “Empty Bowls” fundraiser, 3 things must occur: serve a simple meal of soup & bread, attendees receive hand-crafted bowls that represent all the empty bowls across our nation and around the world at dinnertime and last, all money raised must be donated to the fight against hunger. Outreach’s Empty Bowls Fundraiser on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Parker-Binns Vineyard is a family friendly event that will directly benefit Polk County neighbors struggling with food insecurity.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at Empty Bowls!
