Empowering Educators to Support Older Adults Workshop
Overview
Join us for a 1-hour online workshop to learn more about the Social Circles project — a European initiative focused on reducing loneliness and promoting social inclusion through adult education.
We’re looking for 20 educators/ co-ordinators/ support workers/ trainers to:
- Get exclusive access to the Social Circles Educators’ Toolbox (with videos, Learner Handouts, Quizzes to coach older people to engage socially with others in the community and break down barriers that prevent entry to education for older adults).
- Share best practices that will be featured in a Policy and Practice Recommendations Paper.
We’re reaching out to invite you to participate in a 1-hour online session (on Zoom), as part of the project, taking place on Tuesday December 2nd from 10am to 11am.
Your insights will directly influence the development of resources to create vibrant social circles that support older adults in living fuller, more connected lives across Europe. It’s also a great opportunity to:
- Network with peers in the sector.
- Contribute to a meaningful initiative.
- Be recognised in the final publication of the Policy and Practice Recommendations Paper.
What happens next?
After the focus group, your feedback will be shared with our European partners, who will implement your suggestions into the final version of the Community Coaching programme and the Policy and Practice Recommendations Paper. They will be ready by February/ March 2026, and we would love to run the Community Coaching programme as a Professional Development training with 5 educators at your centre, if you would be interested. As we are EU-funded, everything is 100% FREE for our participants.
