Emotions in Jain Philosophy and Practice
Overview
This book workshop, supported by the Jain Studies Program at FIU, University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Uberoi Foundation for Religious Studies, convenes scholars to examine how emotion is understood in Jain texts, ritual and lived experience. The workshop will directly support the development of an edited volume currently under contract with SUNY Press, allowing contributors to discuss their chapters, refine arguments and engage in focused conversation on the role of emotion in Jainism.
