PROGRAM TITLE: Emergency readiness for the GP team


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program will review aspects of Emergency Readiness for the General Practice team. The program will include topics such as triage, preparation of a crash cart, stabilization efforts and CPR. Upon completion of the program, GP technicians will feel better prepared to deal with emergencies that may walk through their door.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

a. Effective triage of emergencies

b. Teamwork strategies

c. Emergency readiness

d. Recognizing shock

e. Stabilization of the emergency patient

f. Review of effective CPR
