We live in crisis-saturated times: Floods, Fires, Wars, School Shootings and the list goes on. After a trauma, nothing is the same as it was before. Emergency Pedagogy is a trauma-informed, evidence-based training that prepares education professionals, health and mental-health professionals, parents and caregivers how to help children and adolescents to process trauma in emergency situations (acutely) and in the specific window of time after a crisis before the trauma sets in. This work helps to activate the healing processes in the child so that post traumatic disorders and diseases do not develop.

This module focuses on how traumas affect the development of a child and adolescent and includes teaching and care modalities that correspond to the age of the child or adolescent. The development of the senses and how trauma can affect them - causing either post-traumatic disorders/diseases or post traumatic growth.
