With a voice described as "pure and sublime" (RTE Radio 1), Emer enchants audiences with her vocal clarity and rich storytelling ability. She threads together Irish, Scottish and American folk songs, from the well known and loved songs such as ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ and ‘Grace’ to various contemporary surprises! Together with her band, her performances blend heartfelt interpretation with entertaining warmth and humour, inviting audiences to sing along and to be part of the experience.Emer has released three No 1 singles in the Official Irish Charts and a No 1 folk album, ‘Hourglass’ produced by the established Bill Shanley (Bill works with Mary Black, Paul Brady, Gilbert O Sullivan). ‘Hourglass’ brought favourable reviews from Hot Press, RTE Behind the Music and Irish music Magazine, traction on national and international radio, and was featured on Ireland’s National RTE Television.Audiences have flocked to witness Emer at her successful headline theatre tours and at festivals in various corners of Ireland. Alongside her own shows, Emer has toured for two years with renowned folk legends, The Fureys. She has graced the stages of Ireland’s most iconic venues including Dublin’s Vicar Street, Cork’s Opera House, Royal Theatre Castlebar, Wexford Opera House and more. She has also toured across Europe and Japan as a singer and Irish dancer with an Irish dance troupe and has been invited for her own headline shows in the UK, Netherlands, and Germany.Emer caught the attention of Leonard Cohen’s management as they reached out and cited her rendition of his song, ‘Hallelujah’ as one of their favourite cover versions of the song.
