Using fair trade sourced discarded fabrics, learn how to sew an original embroidery wall hanging. All abilities encouraged

Learn simple stitches to assemble heirloom fabrics into a gorgeous textured embroidery collage. Sew a 3D sachet or 2D piece to frame.

Bonnie MacAllister is goung into a fourth year as a resident artist at Cherry Stfeet Pier. She hosts classes teaching her methods and encourages students to share their new fiber skills and continue the outreach.

Bonnie is currently exhibiting at Abington Art Center, the Plastic Club, Station 3510 in Mt. Rainier Maryland, and Cherry Street Pier with her fellow resident artists.

She has taught embroidery at Al Bustan Seeds of Culture, botanical shibori dyeing at the Barnes Foundation, felting at the National Liberty Museum, and botanical bundle dyeing with wildflowers at the University of Pennsylvania 40th Street Artist-In-Residence (AIR) Program. Her work has been exhibited at the Woodmere Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Pennsylvania State Museum, and Sandy Spring Museum.

She was also part of the Fulbright-Hays Group Project Abroad to Ethiopia through the University of Pennsylvania.
