Noori Tawakol is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist devoted to trauma-informed and embodied healing. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Joy of Yoga School in Los Gatos and later trained in Trauma-Informed Yoga for Sexual Assault Survivors. Noori is also Level II certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method®, a technique developed by Nityda Gessel that weaves together Yoga, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies, cultivate inner safety, and foster a sense of wholeness.
Over the years, she has shared her therapeutic style of yoga in Universities, Rape Trauma Services, Preschools, and Residential Treatment Centers. Her classes honor the roots and philosophy of yoga as a practice of liberation, self-inquiry, and compassion. She invites those she works with to move at the pace of their own nervous systems, with the intention of cultivating self-compassion, deepening self-knowledge, and ultimately arriving at self-acceptance.
Noori hopes to create spaces where healing feels like a return home to oneself—especially for those who have been historically marginalized or excluded.
