Embodied Care and Connection
Overview
In a world that asks us to do, act, and produce, where lies the space for being in our bodies - with attentiveness, rest, and care?
* These donation-based classes are offered as a fundraiser for Casa del Trabajador - Metrowest Worker Center, which "organizes to defend and expand the labor, civil, and human rights of all workers" - and the Roots & Wings Branching Out program, whose mission is to "expand access to wellness services that enhance our quality of living." 100% of the donations received will be given to these entities.*
Come gather with others to experience the gifts of tending to the body and connecting with self and community as resource.
We will explore how guided and contemplative movement fosters connection. As we gently move, we listen to our bodies for insight and wisdom. We then make space for the body to rest, letting this practice of slowing down be nourishment. During this time, there will be optional opportunity to receive massage. By engaging in individual and collective movement and rest, we are invited to consider how these practices can be integrated into our everyday ways of being.
* All are welcome. Feel free to bring a pillow and blanket (but not necessary). Blankets and props are provided by the studio.*
Register for one or several dates. Space is limited.
