Description:

Creativity is core part of our humanness, a connection to source that allows us immerse ourselves in the creative act to foster a deeper sense of meaning in the world. Creatives are often trapped by the guise of productivity, perfection, and monetization, losing their sense of flow and divine connection. This workshop is intended to reroute the creative process and experiment with play, curiosity, and mistake making.

We’ll start with physical grounding through movement, breath, shaking, stretching, etc to open ourselves up somatically. Then we’ll do a bit of prompted journaling surrounding the creative process, weaved together by communal sharing and connection. We’ll then move into some visual art making by responding to prompts using tools such as poetry, pencils, paints, and collaging.

Expect to explore questions like:

What do you love about your creative mind?

Depict your roadblocks: what do they look like, feel like, sound like?

What does embodying your creative dream life look like?

This is not restricted to any specific type of creative! Often we learn the most about ourselves by delving into the unfamiliar so if these mediums offered aren’t your forte, please know this is about process and discovery rather than outcome.

About Natalya:

Natalya is a yoga teacher, meditation guide, and sound artist. Natalya approaches her teachings with gentleness – a softness for the human experience – emphasizing joy, healing, exploration, and compassion through instruction. She cues classes from the heart — inspiring a sense of trust in oneself and the internal wisdom that arises from curiosity in one’s own body, mind, and spirit. The act of creating is a direct connection to the divine, a portal that reveals the intricacies of existence. She is deeply indebted to the spiritual tools I have studied that purify that portal, including yogic practices, meditation, ceremonial ritual, etc.
