Element 7: Youth and Caregiver Preparation

Youth participants are at the heart of every mentoring program. This training explores how to prepare youth for their mentoring journey through structured orientations and ongoing support. We’ll also examine how to engage caregivers, ensuring they understand the program’s expectations and how they can contribute to a successful mentoring experience.

Element 8: Mentor Preparation and Training

Mentors play a pivotal role in shaping the mentoring experience. This session will guide programs in implementing comprehensive training protocols that not only prepare mentors for their responsibilities but also serve as a final step in screening for alignment with program values and expectations.

This training is eligible for 1 CEU through the Connecticut Certification Board upon completion.
