Element 5: Youth Enrollment 

Learn how to welcome youth into your mentoring program through a structured and supportive enrollment process.  This training will guide you in establishing clear policies and procedures for confirming youth eligibility, assessing their fit, and ensuring they and their caregivers understand and commit to program expectations.  You'll gain tools to create formal applications, consent processes, and communication strategies that foster trust and engagement from the start. 

Element 6: Mentor Screening and Enrollment 

Explore best practices for screening and enrolling mentors to ensure safety, suitability, and alignment with your program’s goals. This session covers how to develop and implement standardized protocols for interviews, background checks, and reference checks. You’ll also learn how to design mentor applications and commitment processes that reinforce program expectations and build a strong foundation for successful mentoring relationships.


This training is eligible for 1 CEU through the Connecticut Certification Board upon completion.
