Join us for a screening of Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire (2023), a powerful documentary that explores how we can better coexist with fire in an era of climate change. Narrated by Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actor David Oyelowo, the film weaves together the perspectives of climate scientists, Indigenous leaders, and fire survivors to challenge conventional thinking about wildfire.
Elemental takes viewers from the devastating 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California where a community was overtaken by wind-driven flames in a matter of hours to the record-breaking wildfires that have scorched Oregon, California, and Colorado in recent years.
Following the screening, a panel of experts will join us for a Q&A to deepen the conversation and explore what it means to live with fire in a hotter, drier future.
The event will take place in the Auditorium.
