Workshop Name: Meditation Techniques
Syllabus Section: Yoga Anatomy, Pratyahara, and Niyama; Ahimsa.

Purpose of Workshop: Guide students into a deeper understanding and awareness of
connective tissues and muscles in their body, and also the mind body connection.

What do you need provided? Enclave work space.
What do you need to bring? Notes (mudras), mat.
Tuition: $20 suggested donation, complementary for YTT students
Class Minimum/Maximum: Max 8
Workshop Description: Students will learn about the mind body connection using
breath and different strategies to help connect. They will also learn about the brain; how
it receives feedback, and how we can train it.

What are you passionate about sharing? It is essential to understanding yourself
better, in order to be happy and healthy. To Inspire the mind, body and soul connection.
What learning objectives do you want the students to leave the workshop with?
Students will learn methods to become aware of their energy, as well as ways to
build and preserve energy.
Students will learn different meditation techniques as well as lifestyle practices to
foster their mediation practice.Students will practice pranayama meditation and mantra meditation (they will
create their own personal mantra to use when meditating).
Students will learn how to eat to best support neurons with healthy eating.
3. SCHEDULE:

2. Yogic practices to prepare you for meditation:
a. Pratyahara, dharana, dhyana (see notes below)
3. Meditation strategies.
a. Awareness of Energy
i. What is it and where does it come from?
ii. Energy inherited vs. created.
1. Energy from mental tension (emotions)
2. Physical Energy
4. Meditative lifestyle
a. Conserving your energy for what matters.
i. Pace: Moving at a mindful pace.
ii. Eating: mindfully consuming (sugar, alcohol, and other
stimulants). Amino acids.
iii. Environment: Being in Nature, not being in stressful
situations (work included)
C. Closing.
