About this event

On Friday, October 24 at 7:30 PM, Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York City will present concert organist Eddie Zheng, a Juilliard-trained musician recognized by The Diapason magazine as one of its “20 Under 30” rising stars. Currently Assistant Organist at Saint Ignatius, Zheng has performed across the United States, Canada, France, and China, earning distinction for his artistry and adventurous programming.

The evening features Bach’s Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland chorales from the Leipzig collection, Wagner’s Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde in Lemare’s transcription, and Liszt’s monumental Fantasy and Fugue on “Ad nos, ad salutarem undam.”

This concert celebrates the long-awaited replacement of the church’s keyboards and the ongoing restoration of its 1966 Casavant pipe organ, including refurbished pedal stops and a new sequencer. Proceeds will support future maintenance projects, notably the releathering of the 16ʺ Montre pedal stop.

Admission is pay-what-you-wish.
