Ecstatic Dance
Overview
We have ourselves a stellar Ecstatic Dance feat. Dance is Medicine, Saturday November 15th.
A kismit encounter at the Esalen Institute brought these passionate souls together and here they continue their celebration of being through this ceremonial movement practice.
Together we will channel our innate healing powers, assisted by the medicine of dance.
Freedom awaits your arrival, through the portal of the dance floor.
A safe space for expressive movement and inner journeying.
All are welcome.
Opening Circle: 6:30 -7:00p

About Opening Circle:
Beneath Contact is a relational movement experience that harmonizes body, mind and spirit through trauma-informed contact improvisation exercises. Following a lesson on attachment theory, we focus on supporting boundaries, initiating contact, building connections, and regulating our nervous systems. Through dynamic partner games, we explore the imbalance of leading and following, saying yes and no, and cultivating energetic integrity individually and within the community. Together, we create a space for authentic expression, transforming attachment styles into liberation through mindful exchanges of contact.
About our DJ’s/Musician:
Hunter & Matthew’s lifelong passion for music guides us on a journey through genre that will evoke deep feeling, laughter, sensual awareness and help to arouse the ecstatic being within. To heal. To feel. To renew.
About our opening circle instructor:
Adam Clark is the host of Ecstatic Dance SLO in San Luis Obispo and a creator of somatic workshops that explore prayer, contact improvisation, and emotional intelligence. With certification in Dance Movement Psychotherapy, Adam weaves together his passions for dance, inner child healing, and spirituality to advance justice and liberation locally and abroad.
Committed to creating sacred and inclusive spaces for both individual and collective transformation, Adam embraces ancestral wisdom and spiritual practices as essential threads in community healing. Through radical self-expression and mindful space-holding, he guides individuals and communities toward reclaiming their inherent oneness and true wholeness
