Ecstatic Dance Columbus with DJ Ayala and Kofdrop

DJ Ayala and Kofdrop (2 of our resident DJs) will be playing back to back on November 2nd! Our monthly potluck will happen right after dance so please bring a dish and a list of ingredients. We're excited to feature a rare back to back with our resident DJs

Ecstatic dance is a substance free, conscious dance event that features no phones, shoes, words, substances or judgements. Doors open up at 1pm and the opening circle is at 1:15pm. This dance is all ages and welcomes all bodies

DJ Ayala:
Ayala aspires to create transformational experiences through music and facilitation. She attended her very first ecstatic dance in Columbus many years ago. While living in California, she rediscovered ecstatic dance and the depth of its creation of connection and community. Upon moving back to Columbus she began facilitating ecstatic dances, and soon learned how to DJ from Kofdrop. Some influences include Samadhi of Ecstatic Dance Evolution Network, the ecstatic dance LA community, and Soohan (who she has opened up for). Ayala intertwines a variety of genres throughout her sets to create a dynamic flow that compliments ecstatic dance journeys. Some of her current favorites are mega funk and bass.

Kofdrop:
Kofdrop is an ecstatic dance DJ and event organizer based in Columbus, Ohio, where he currently serves as one of the resident DJs for Ecstatic Dance Columbus. Known for his deeply intentional sound journeys, his sets weave together a rich tapestry of sounds - flowing seamlessly through world, bass, Latin, melodic, tribal, organic, trap and beyond. With an intuitive ear for energy and timing, he guides dancers on a journey that awakens the body, expands the heart and elevates the spirit. Each experience becomes more than just a dance floor, it becomes a sacred container for release, renewal and collective joy.Kofdrop has shared his artistry on stages across the United States, from national festivals such as Unison and Playthink to ecstatic dance communities in Boulder, Philadelphia, San Diego, Asheville and many more. Along the way, he has shared lineups with some of the most beloved names in the conscious music scene, including Mose, Liquid Bloom, Savej, Desert Dwellers, Equanimous, and Random Rab.
