Overview

Learn to apply Ecological Dynamics concepts to the design of S&C and agility training that integrates with "skill" training.

Welcome to the Ecological Approach to S&C and Agility Training Event!

This webinar will explore how we can use an Ecological Dynamics framework to make strength & conditioning (S&C) and "agility" training integrate more effectively with "skill" training. Convert strength, speed, and agility gains into better performance in the game! Concepts covered will include:

1)Sneaking “Train to Learn” Activities (i.e., changing an athlete's movement solution) into the S&C Activities Using the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA)

2)Doing some Action Capacity Training & Targeting Rate Limiters

3)Re-educating attention, recalibration, and reestablishing the “activity set”

4)Differential learning to support broad exploration of the solution space

5)Supporting the Basic Motivational Needs (Self-Determination Theory)

6)Training to reduce pain and increase resilence to injury

The webinar will be a mix of presentation of theory/research and examples of how to apply the ideas with specific interventions. All participants will receive access to the discussed dicussed and some tools to support session design.
