Cody Perkins and V.C.R closing performance will guide an improvisational reflection of J. Yolande Daniels’ solo exhibition To A Future Space-Time. Hosted within the gallery walls, the meditative performance explores the temporality and bass of “The Riot”. Explored through the vocals and violin of V.C.R “The Riot” is sonically discussed as a form, technology and meditative practice that has kept communities of color safe for decades. Featured in exhibition pieces There’s A Riot Goin’ On (2025) and 3 (Silent) Meditations on Black Reconstruction, Reparations, and Abolition (2021).
