About this event

Echoes from the Threshold: A Surrealist Ball

Saturday, August 16 7pm-10pm

PRS Member Ticket $15/$35 non-members

An evening of performance, reflection, and collective dreaming.

You are cordially invited to cross the veil

between reality and reverie—

to waltz with ghosts,

whispers of ancestry,

and visions too wild for daylight.

Adorn yourself in your finest illusion, your masked rebellion, your velvet truth.

At this gilded threshold, the unspoken will speak, the unseen will shimmer, and the forgotten will dance once more.

You are invited to inhabit your altered self—to enter the threshold wherememory, myth, and imagination converge.

In celebration of the one-year anniversary of our Membership program, we're throwing a one-of-a-kind surrealist ball: Echoes from the Threshold . This is not merely a benefit—it is an invitation to awaken the dreamer within. Join us on Saturday, August 16, from 7 PM to 10 PM, for an evening of immersive performance, art and sound spaces, reflection, and collective dreaming, as we celebrate the mysteries that bind memory to myth, illusion to truth.

Come costumed as your memory or your myth, veiled in symbolic gestures. There will be a costume contest.

PRS stands as a rare sanctuary for reflection, inquiry, and soul. Founded by Manly P. Hall in 1934, PRS is one of the few remaining institutions dedicated to bridging ancient wisdom traditions with contemporary thought—offering a space not only for philosophical study but also for spiritual nourishment, artistic expression, and cultural dialogue. At a time when critical thinking is under threat, PRS provides a vital alternative: a place where people can engage with esoteric teachings, holistic knowledge, and timeless questions about meaning, purpose, and the nature of reality. It cultivates intellectual curiosity and spiritual exploration in a city known more for spectacle than for introspection. In keeping PRS alive, we ensure that future generations inherit not only information, but a deeper invitation to wonder.
