Love reading? Love eating? Morbidly curious, or curiously morbid?Join us for the launch of Eating Our Feelings, a book club for readers and grievers. We will meet on Sunday, September 28 at Mr Cookbop in New Haven CT from 1 - 2:30PM.

Here's how it works: we all read the same book, then share food based on what we read. We will chat for two hours and eat our feelings.

This month, we are reading Crying in H Mart. This bestselling memoir is about family, food, grief, love, and growing up Korean American—“in losing her mother and cooking to bring her back to life, Zauner became herself” (NPR).

Things you can bring: quotes that resonated with you; questions for the group. You don't need to have finished the book, but we would love for you to come ready to share food and thoughts.

We will bring: a spirit of kind inquiry and light facilitation.

Please note that most dishes at this restaurant aren't vegetarian or vegan - make sure to check the menu online before RSVP'ing.

Donation of $5 will go towards organizing future events.

The organizers are Becca and Kate of Connecticut Death Collective and Catherine of Death Project Manager - deathworkers who enjoy hosting events centering spaces to discuss the taboo in community.
